For the last few months, I have been using a complete organic skincare routine. I started using it after it got recommended to be my a friend. I had not seen her for a few months and when we met up for a coffee, her skin was glowing(as in Edward from twilight glow haha). She was raving about this – all organic skincare and I had to try it out after hearing her rave review about the products and seeing how amazing her skin looked.
In today’s post, I will give you my honest review of the go-to skincare range.
Disclaimer: This is NOT a sponsored post. This is how I do my skincare routine and the products that I use. I did not get paid to write this post, nor did these products get sent to me. ( bought these products with my own hard-earned dollars 😉 )
Go-To was founded by Australian beauty editor and author Zoë Foster Blake check her out on Instagram (shes kinda amazing! ) She created Go-To after years spent reviewing and using every kind of skin care product available, from the drugstore to spa brands, and receiving very honest feedback from women on what they like, don’t like, and find utterly baffling about the products that they use on their skin. (“All of it.”)
Go-to’s statement is to make uncomplicated, effective, cruelty-free, plant-derived skin care.

I have been using 4 of their products from their collection. Underneath I will show you which products I use, what it allegedly does for the skin and what my experience has been like with each product.
PROPERLY CLEAN – a cleanser for a soft, perfect clean face
Water, sodium cocoamphoacetate, glycerin, lauryl glucoside, sodium cocoyl glutamate, sodium lauryl glucose carboxylate, sodium chloride, dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol, citric acid, willow bark extract, natural fragrance (ginger, mandarin and lime).
In the ingredients list, you mostly find quite a few surfactant ingredients ( Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, and Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate) These ingredients helps with creating the foam and clean the surface of the skin.
An interesting ingredient is – Willow bark extract. Derived from the Willow Tree. A natural exfoliant that contains salicylic acid and helps the skin shed dead skin cells and clear pores.
The cleanser is developed to remove makeup and the daily dirt of city living that will stick to your face – that the stuff we all like to hear!
HOW TO USE
Lather 1-2 squirts of the mouse all over your wet face and massage thoroughly and then rinse off.
It’s recommended using the mouse on a daily basis.
I use the mouse (almost) every night whilst taking a shower (multitasking skills ). I use 2 pops of the foam and massage it onto my skin for about 30 seconds.
After I use the “properly clean” cleanser, my face feels soft and a lot smoother. It feels like the product has removed some of the oils and dirt of my skin. It also softens my skin immediately – like a babies bum or something similar haha
EXFOLIATING SWIPEYS – foolproof exfoliating pads for glowing skin (50 pads)
Water, lactic acid, aloe vera, ethanol, propanediol, polysorbate 20, fragrance (natural mandarin and lemon), dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol, sodium citrate, potassium sorbate.
The wipes exfoliate the skin and soften some fine lines.
The most important ingredient in the wipes is Lactic Acid. It is a naturally derived Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), and it exfoliates the skin’s surface and assists in cell renewal and skin rejuvenation. It keeps the skin softer and looking younger for longer.
HOW TO USE
Use three times a week. At night after cleansing, swipe a single pad over the face and neck. Avoiding the under-eye areas. Leave the solution on for 60 seconds. Rinse face. Follow with serum and/or face oil and then a face cream.
It is also recommended to use sunscreen every day when using these wipes due to the AHAs. Additionally, when using any product with AHA it may increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn + more wrinkles. So be careful when using this product.
I really like these exfoliating swipeys. I use these 2 times a week after I have cleansed my face with the foam. I use 1 pad and swipe it all over my face and neck and leave the solution on for about 60 seconds as recommended and then rinse off the solution.
My face always is a bit red directly after using this serum, but it always subsides after about 10 minutes. I definitely feel a difference in my skin when I used this product in comparison to when I don’t use it. My skin definitely feels smoother and softer after using these swipeys.
FACE HERO – A powerful and protective face oil
Almond oil, jojoba oil, macadamia oil, brazil nut oil, evening primrose oil, buriti oil, arnica oil, rosehip oil, calendula oil, kiwi fruit seed oil, tocopherol (vitamin e), totarol, rosemary leaf extract, natural fragrance (orange blossom & rose gardenia.)
This oil is designed to hydrate, nourish and soothe the skin.
The main ingredients that will hydrate your skin are the Brazil nut oil, the evening primrose oil, and the Buriti oil. These oils have A + hydrating and moisturizing properties.
Two interesting ingredients that are added to this oil are:
A powerful natural antibacterial and antioxidant extracted from the recycled totara wood.
Rosemary leaf extract
An antioxidant that helps protect against free radical damage and the effects of environmental stresses on the skin.
HOW TO USE
Massage into face, neck, and chest twice a day. Apply after treatment serum and before moisturizer. Alternative you can add a few drops into the face cream as a booster. Apply twice a day, in the morning and the evening.
I apply this oil twice a day, in the morning and the evening.
I love this oil. From the first time I have applied it, I loved it.
As you might know, it is winter in Australia right now.
That means that the heater is on almost 24/7(yes, yes! it does actually get cold :), drying out the air around us.
Usually, in winter, I have dehydrated skin, making it look dry and dull, like SpongeBob out of the water.
When I used this oil, my skin immediately absorbed it. It instantly looked healthier and better. This is, therefore, my number 1 product, especially for people with drier skin.
VERY USEFUL FACE CREAM – moisturizing and protective
Water, shea butter, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, glyceryl oleate citrate, amla berry extract, arachidyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, avocado oil, sunflower oil, mango butter, milk thistle ethyl ester, benzyl alcohol, coenzyme Q10, arachidyl glucoside, tocopherol, sodium citrate, lysolecithin, sclerotium gum, xanthan gum, pullulan, dehydroacetic acid, natural fragrance (fig and oriental rose).
This moisturizer is developed to hydrate and nurture the heck out of your skin.
Just some of the ingredients that are in the cream that would nurture your skin are Sweet almond oil, Apricot kernel oil, Avocado oil, and Mango butter.
HOW TO USE
Apply after cleaners, toners, serums, and oils in the morning and evening.
I apply this moisturizer every morning after the face oil. I am not a professional, so I don’t know this for sure, but I think the moisturizer obviously used in conjunction with the oil, keeps the oil working for your skin all day long. So pretty much you have beautifully moisturized skin all day long, who doesn’t want that?
On extra cold days (when the heater is on full blast) my skin is still pretty hydrated and not dried in the evenings. (meaning the products work)
In these pictures, I am not wearing any makeup besides some mascara. The pictures have also not been edited in any way shape or form (so no face-tuning or filters). I wanted to show you what the products do to my skin.
Please don’t leave any harsh comments about my appearance. Thanks.
My skin is for sure more hydrated and more glowing as before. It looks and feels healthier and people have been given me compliments on how good my skin looks at the moment.
My favorite product of go-to is their face oil. As mentioned before, I have dry skin, especially in winter. This oil hydrates my skin on a daily basis, without making it over oily, so to me this is what I would call heaven in a bottle! oh, yea!
My least favorite product is probably the cleaners.
But this is because I do not like to cleanse my face. Especially when you don’t take a shower and you need to chuck water on your face to wash it, then I don’t like it.
If they would develop a cleansing toner that I can use in the morning and evening without having to wash my face I would buy that in a heartbeat.
I do love the product and what it does to my skin, but having to chuck water on my face and then scrub it down, is just not for me, unfortunately. Never has been, never will be.
These all-organic products can only be bought on their website.
