If you have been following this blog for a while, then you know that I love nothing better then strapping on my walking boots and do a coastal walk during my days off. After living in Sydney for many years now, you’d think I had done them all, but the other week, I did the Watson Bay to Rose Bay walk for the first time – say what now! If you like a relatively easy walk, filled with amazing secluded beaches, and ridiculously beautiful city and harbor views, then I think you will like this walk as well. Follow me along this 8K walk and see some of Sydney’s best sights during the Watson Bay to Rose Bay walk.
I have been getting some questions on my Social Media (Instagram and Twitter) about the photography tools that I use, love and recommend. If you are looking to invest in the right equipment for taking photos for your blog, here’s a round-up of everything you would need. (In my humble opinion) Hope you’ll find this useful!
If you are planning to travel to Bali, then I am certain you have heard of the spectacular Tegalalang Rice Terrace. If you are planning to visit one (Hint: you should) then make sure to read this post. During my first trip to Bali, I did a full-day guided tour with a local. Besides the mental monkeys at the monkey sanctuary, I also stopped at the Tegalalang Rice Terrace. The stunning Rice Terrace is part of the Cultural Landscape of Bali Province UNESCO World Heritage Site, comprises of lush emerald-green terrace’s still being worked by local rice farmers. You truly have to see it in order to grasp its beauty. So here’s everything you need to know about a quick trip to Bali’s famous rice fields in Ubud, the Tegallalang Rice Terrace.
Most cities don’t get better after the sun has set, but strangely Sydney does! Especially Circular Quay. With the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House as its main attractions, it truly becomes a spectacle after dark. Especially the Opera House is a sight to behold after dark. I have written an extensive blog post already on where to see Sydney by night, so make sure to check that one out as well, but today I will take you up close to this Sydney Icon after the sun has set.
What is better than hopping on a plane and a couple of hours later you end up on a volcanic island with some unique ‘moon-like’ landscape, blissful weather and cool beaches. This is exactly what I did during a trip to Europe last year. Lanzarote (Spain) is one of the Canary Islands off the coast of West Africa is known for its year-round warm weather, beaches, and volcanic landscape. Here is what I did during my holiday there.
Jervis Bay National Park is the perfect place for a quick getaway when you need to escape the hustle and bustle of Sydney living. This stunning national park is located about a 3-hour drive from Sydney and offers not only the world’s whites beach but also whale watching and fishing opportunities and lots of Aboriginal heritage. I hired a groovy campervan from Wicked Travel with my friend and headed off to this national park for a 3-day and 2-night trip.
Sunsets in Sydney are scandalously beautiful! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you would often see me attempting to capture these sunsets from different locations throughout Sydney. On a warm winters evening I ventured over to Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair in the Royal Botanic Gardens to see if Sydney would put on a bedtime show that night, and boy she did. In this post, I will take you with me to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair in the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney and show you what it was like.
Probably one of the coolest holidays I have been on what was a 3-day 2-night trip to Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon and Australia’s most recognizable natural landmarks – Uluru. I slept underneath a starry night’s sky in a swag, I walked the base route of Ayers Rock and hiked to the Garden of Eden. It was just one thing after another with its unique and breathtakingly beautiful scenery and that all whilst learning about the Aboriginal culture. If you are thinking of taking an organized trip but don’t want to spend a fortune, then check out this blog post. I will take you along with my trip and show you what it was like, whether I recommend going on this tour or even at all. (Spoiler alert: This trip is bloody brilliant)
If you are planning your first trip to Bali, Indonesia, then a trip to Ubud Monkey Forrest is kind of a must! Ubud Monkey Forest, also known as the Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal, is one of Ubud’s most popular attractions. A natural forest sanctuary that is home to a large horde of grey long-tailed macaques. I visited this sanctuary during my trip to Bali last year. Due to some nastiness at the end of my holiday, I kind of forgot to write a couple of blog posts, including this one. So in this blog post, I will take you along with me to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. I will show you the best way to get there, what it costs, what to do and what not to do when wandering around this amazing jungle whilst being surrounded by cheeky monkeys.
Newtown in Sydney’s inner west is a unique neighborhood in Sydney. With a thriving music scene, many amazing restaurants and lots of unique clothing shops making Newtown a vibrant inner-city neighborhood. But the main reason for me to venture to this neck of the woods is because of its infamous graffiti scene. Newtown has a large number of excellent artworks to check out through a vast area. So, if you want to check out some of these cool paintings as well, I have made a short self-guided 1-hour walk that will take you along some of the largest and most known pieces.
That time of year has come once again. Where the days are shorter and cooler, but the fireplace is warm and your boyfriend doesn’t mind cuddling you. Now, this might come as a shock to a lot of you, but it does get actually quite cold in Sydney. If you’d go to the Blue Mountains, you can actually get some snow, I kid you not. Now, please don’t cancel your ticket if you were planning to come during winter, because there is still so much to do. The weather in winter is still pretty pleasant! The sun comes out to play pretty often and it rains less during winter than any other time of the year! Additionally, a major advantage is that all the summer crowds, tourists and international backpackers have moved up the coast to warmer destinations. so it’s a great time to explore some of the cool sights that Sydney has to offer! So, in this blog post, I will show you just some of the top things to do in Sydney in winter.

Sydney is incredibly blessed with some of the most famous and beautiful beaches in the world – all that sand, sparkling blue ocean and a water temperature that never dips below mild. It’s entirely understandable why spending the day at the beach is a favorite pastime of Sydneysiders. Whether it is summer or winter, you can always find a handful of people on any beach at any location throughout the city. Sydney is blessed with well over 100 beaches in the city, ranging in size from a few meters to several kilometers, located along the city’s Pacific Ocean coastline and its harbors, bays, and rivers. Underneath I will show you 7 of my favorite and most pretty beaches that are in Sydney. From the uber-popular Bondi, Manly, and Palm Beach to the small and oh so pretty Gordons bay or Balmoral Beach.
New York city is one of those destinations that is on most people’s bucket list. The city, home to over 8.5 million people, contains so much to see and do, that you will need a couple of visits and even then you will barely scratch the surface. This city is home to thousands of restaurants, hundreds of incredible museums, attractions, Broadway shows, and cool quirky things to do. As a first time traveler, how do you visit a city as fast as this? What are the best things to see and do here? How do you make the most of your time here? I have therefore made this post that includes where to eat, where to stay, what to see and when to go. We have tried to make it as all comprising as possible and ended up with a post with more than 3000 words. So, I hope you will enjoy this guide and leave a quick comment underneath if you found it helpful or when you are going to use it for your trip to New York.

Woohooo but for a fraction of the price and minus the hideous blue suits lol! yaaaay no limb chopping today haha! Cockatoo Island is a UNESCO world-heritage-listed island in the middle of beautiful Sydney Harbour. Only a short but stunning ferry ride from the city CBD will drop you off at the Sydney Harbour’s largest island and one of Australia’s most fascinating historical sites. It is a reasonably unknown and not very tourist island, heck I have been living in Sydney for more than 7 years, and I never visited before! I wish I had thought, cause, with its urban and characterful buildings, this place is a photographer’s paradise. But not only that, this place is filled with interesting facts and history, which tourists alike should explore! In this post, I will show you the best things to do on Cockatoo Island in Sydney.
