Even though it was a rainy cold(yes it gets cold in Australia haha!) winters day last Saturday, I still decided to go for a wander through Sydney. I ended up in the oldest part of Sydney called “The Rocks”.
The Rocks is a neighborhood of historic laneways in the shadow of Sydney Harbour Bridge. Locals and many tourists mingle at the open-air Rocks Markets, purchasing street food and handmade souvenirs. The area has some of Sydney’s oldest pubs and many of the upscale restaurants have spectacular harbor views.
I took my DSLR camera with me, but unfortunately, it was not working, so I had to take pictures with my trusty iPhone. They didn’t turn out too bad – thank goodness, but they would have looked better if they would have been taken with my fancy-pants camera.

Recently I was completely out of ideas for blog posts. I know I haven’t talked about it a lot, but I have been very sick and was even admitted to hospital. I am now doing a lot better (woohoo!) but I am still feeling a bit weak. As I am low on energy at the moment, my attention span is very short so obviously, when writing blog posts, you have to do a lot of research, and at the moment I don’t really have the right frame of mind to do that.
So I ask some of my friends what I should do and they said to do a travel Q&A. I thought that was a great idea, so I got quite a few questions and I will answer them underneath. I hope you enjoy this post.
Airlie Beach ahhhh sounds like paradise! situated in Queensland this amazing, beautiful town is used as a departure point for the amazing Whitsundays. The resort town itself is, however, a lovely place for a quick getaway, from the hustle and bustle of city living and to stay for those seeking a relaxing holiday away.
The town center has an abundance of restaurants catering to every budget, boutique shops with stylish clothing and jewelry and plenty of souvenir shopping opportunities. The small resort town is definitely worth exploring and spending a few days there to unwind.
In this blog post, I will show you what to see and do in this vibrant hub.
We all love a good travel quote.
Whether you’re planning for your next trip, battling post-trip blues or are just looking for a little something to give your everyday life a bit of a boost, there is a quote out there that will fit your every mood.
I was feeling a bit blue because of my last travels and my ill health, so I haven’t had a great time in the last couple of weeks(meeh!). So I thought I would look up and create some of my own travel-related graphics.
Ready for a little wanderlust-inspiring pick me up? Yeah you are!
Winter is coming (GOT) haha jokes it is here! ( I am in Australia, and yes it does actually get cold here LOL) I hate winter but the upside of it is – long movie nights underneath a warm blanket with some hot cocoa.
The best movies to watch during a cold winter night are movies that will spark your wanderlust (pretty much have you dreaming of warmer, sunnier times hah 😉 So I have compiled a list of 10 movies that will do just that. Some are about traveling and some are about new cultures and some will make you cry (YUP) however be warned, possible side effects may occur as below:
- Spark your wanderlust
- There is a risk of an empty bank account
- A never-ending bucket list
- And you may find yourself wanting to resign from your job
I did warn you! mwahaha!!
