I recently spend some time in Far North Queensland, and I fell in love with this area! From stunning untouched roughed nature to the Great Barrier Reef, a Rainforest and a pumping city! Cairns in Queensland truly has it all! I have therefore created this Cairns itinerary for when you are heading to Far North Queensland for a couple of days and want to head out and explore. This 3 day in Cairns Itinerary will allow you to explore Cairns itself for one day and takes you out to Fitzroy Island as well as Daintree National Park. Though you can’t see everything in Cairns and its surroundings in just 3 days, I think this itinerary will allow you to cover as much ground as possible.
The UNESCO-listed Daintree Rainforest is believed to be one of the three oldest in the world! With unique plants and animals found nowhere else, this rainforest is a must-see when you are in tropical far north Queensland. In today’s post, I will show you some of the best stops and activities that you should do when travelling to and when staying in the rainforest. From snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef to amazing viewing points and incredible desolated beaches. I have also provided handy information about Daintree Rainforest. Check out my handy and all-compromising guide to things to do in Daintree.
